About Lee's Chinese Martial Arts Federation
Lee’s Chinese Martial Arts Federation has been in the Kansas City Metro (Raytown) for over 28 years. Master R. Lee Mcfield was 18 years old, on a basketball scholarship to Indiana State University, when his teacher from Hong Kong, Ma Chan, taught him several different styles of Chinese Martial Arts, including Wing Chun, Choy Li Fut, Crane Chi Kung, and snake style. He played basketball during the day and trained in kung fu at night.
Prior to starting LCMA, Master Lee trained security officers for the St. Louis Public Schools. He also trained the St. Louis Parks and Recreation Community Centers staff in self-defense and how to interact with young adult and teen-age gang members. He had a lot of experience in teaching and encouraging staff how to interact with gang leaders and their members. Master Lee also spent 20 years working with violent youth in Job Corps. He protected the weak youth from bullies and improved their fighting skills and confidence by teaching them self-defense.
Simultaneously, he helped bullies how to use and overcome their life pain and channel that pain into training. As a result, the bullies would be able to see the benefits of both physical and mental growth, which helped them manage their anger, emotions, and ability to focus.
